AI Research Engineer – Agentic Post‑training (Remote)

About the role

Join Tether’s AI model team to lead innovation in post‑training methodologies. You will focus on agentic behaviours and tool use, refining pre‑trained models so they can reason, plan and autonomously invoke external tools to solve real‑world, multi‑step tasks on edge devices such as smartphones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve post‑training techniques that enable models to exhibit agentic behaviours.
• Design resource‑efficient agents that run on limited hardware and edge devices.
• Build multimodal architectures that integrate text, images and audio for tool‑augmented decision making.
• Optimize models for real‑time inference and multi‑step problem solving.
• Collaborate with a global, fully remote team to push the boundaries of AI research.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in AI research, particularly in post‑training and agentic systems.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
