Data Warehouse Officer – Luxembourg

About the role

The European Investment Bank is looking for a Data Warehouse Officer to join its Data Engineering Unit in Luxembourg. You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining ETL processes that feed the Bank’s Data Warehouse and Data Lake with high‑quality data, supporting strategic initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Data Warehouse and Data Lake platforms comply with IT policies and meet quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Lead complex business requirement analyses and produce business cases for cost‑effective IT solutions.
• Manage IT projects end‑to‑end, delivering on time, within scope and budget.
• Prepare project documentation such as charters, functional designs, test scripts and progress reports.
• Build, maintain and monitor ETL jobs following best practices and defined metrics.
• Collaborate with reporting officers, data owners, source system custodians and external vendors to improve data extraction processes.
• Provide timely support to end‑users, including issue resolution and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Full‑time permanent position at grade 5 within the EIB.
• Ability to work regularly on‑site at the Luxembourg headquarters.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience in leading IT projects.
• Excellent communication skills to cooperate with IT, Data Governance and external partners.
