Design Responsible Engineer

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Design Responsible Engineer to support a key automotive customer. You will lead technical assessments, design reviews and feasibility studies while ensuring robust, manufacturable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support engine design development through technical assessments, design reviews and feasibility evaluations.
• Prepare, maintain and release technical documentation, drawings, specifications and CAD models in line with program timelines.
• Assist in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and definition of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Virtual Analysis, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality and Suppliers to deliver robust designs.
• Manage design changes, ensuring proper release and configuration control within PLM systems.
• Contribute to DFMEA, SFMEA and DRBFM preparation, as well as design verification and validation plans.
• Provide technical guidance during prototype and pre‑series build phases and track design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Technical University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency with NX and PLM systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Strong teamwork attitude and willingness to share knowledge.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is required.
