DevOps Engineer – Full Remote (Italy)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our fast‑growing startup. The role is fully remote and involves designing, deploying, and maintaining reliable, scalable systems for a variety of client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deploy infrastructure in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain containerised applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Set up, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Perform SQL CRUD operations and maintain database systems.
• Administer Linux systems, troubleshoot system/process/network issues, and manage web servers (Apache, NGINX) including SSL setup.
• Manage build and dependency tools such as Maven and monitor system performance, security, and reliability.

Required profile

• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
• Solid experience with Linux administration and networking concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub/GitHub Actions, and Ansible.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash).
• SQL knowledge for CRUD operations.
• Understanding of web servers (Apache/NGINX) and SSL certificates.
• Familiarity with Maven and Linux processes.
