EHS Specialist – Italy

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions Italy is looking for an experienced EHS Specialist to manage health, safety and environmental responsibilities across its small sites in Italy. You will ensure compliance with Italian legislation and BASF internal standards while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage EHS and RSPP duties for BASF sites in Italy, ensuring compliance with D.Lgs. 81/08 and internal policies.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS management system, including Responsible Care requirements.
• Organise safety campaigns, training, Safety Days and Behaviour‑Based Safety programmes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement required actions for health, safety, environment, process safety and security.
• Coordinate risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, emergency preparedness and site safety reviews.
• Support environmental compliance activities such as emissions, water and waste management, supplier audits and environmental assessments.
• Facilitate coordination among EHS representatives, track action plans and support management reviews.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external service providers, contractors, authorities and regional EHS teams.

Required profile

• Degree in EHS, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in health, safety and environment roles within manufacturing, chemical or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of Italian health and safety legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08) and RSPP responsibilities.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and drive continuous improvement.
