eIDAS Auditor – Digital Trust Services

About the role

BSI is looking for an experienced eIDAS Auditor to join its conformity assessment team. You will work primarily from home while travelling across the UK, Italy, Spain, France or Germany to audit Qualified Trust Service Providers and ensure compliance with the eIDAS Regulation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compliance audits for Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) under the eIDAS Regulation.
• Evaluate systems, policies and processes against ETSI standards such as EN 319 401, EN 319 411‑1/‑2 and EN 319 421.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Monitor legislative and technical updates in the trust‑services domain.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex compliance issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital trust services or information security.
• In‑depth knowledge of the eIDAS Regulation and related ETSI standards.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor) are preferred.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Excellent analytical, communication and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
