Fourth Grade Teacher

About the role

This position is for a dedicated fourth‑grade teacher who will deliver standards‑based instruction in a classroom environment. The role involves creating engaging lessons, supporting diverse learners, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and organize long‑range and daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Apply best‑practice teaching principles and adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of all students.
• Select, adapt or modify teaching materials to maximize effectiveness for fourth‑grade content.
• Utilize a repertoire of differentiated strategies to accommodate varied learning styles.
• Support, counsel and motivate students to achieve or exceed grade‑level expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including classroom management and collaboration with staff.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to pass a Tier 1 background investigation and Childcare Checks.
• Valid, unencumbered state teaching license in the relevant content area (or equivalent Praxis I & II certification or seven years of PreK‑12 teaching experience).
• Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of 40 semester hours of general education coursework and 18 semester hours of professional teacher education.
• Compliance with selective service registration (for male applicants born after 12/31/1959) and other DoD employment requirements.
