About the role

Bestie Bite, Italy’s leading video‑review platform for restaurants, is expanding to the US and needs a freelance Full‑Stack Engineer to work closely with the CTO. You will help build and evolve the B2B platform and three web front‑ends, delivering real‑time features, AI‑driven discovery, and geospatial search.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain the NestJS backend, including APIs, data models, and integrations.
Implement and enhance three web front‑ends using React, Next.js, and related technologies.
Integrate AI services (Vertex AI/Gemini) and LLMs into production features.
Build geospatial queries with PostGIS and map visualisations.
Ensure real‑time communication via Socket.io and Server‑Sent Events.
Collaborate with the CTO in rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative releases.

Required profile

At least 1 year of experience building web products across the stack.
Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate development.
Pragmatic mindset – ship validated prototypes quickly.
Business‑oriented, proposing experiments rather than waiting for tickets.
UX‑focused, delivering beautiful and delightful interfaces.
Agile work style with conventional commits, PR reviews, and weekly releases.
