Head of Southern Europe – Public Policy

About the role

TikTok is seeking a strategic public policy leader to head its Southern Europe team. You will shape policy discussions, build relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure TikTok’s operations align with regional regulations while keeping users at the forefront.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deepen engagement with local governments, NGOs, academia, think‑tanks and other partners across Southern Europe.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on emerging public policy matters, ensuring compliance with regional regulations.
• Advocate for policies that foster innovation, competition and responsible technology use.
• Lead, mentor and grow the public policy team, promoting a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with legal, brand, communications and product teams to align policy goals with business objectives.
• Represent TikTok externally, championing its mission, values and principles.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in public policy, government relations or advocacy, preferably in the tech sector.
• Deep understanding of political systems, institutions and cultural landscapes in Southern Europe.
• Established network with policymakers and opinion leaders across the region.
• Strong knowledge of child‑safety, privacy and other tech‑related policy issues.
• Proven people‑management skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
