Heat Treatment Operator

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Heat Treatment Operator to run furnace and localized heat‑treatment equipment for post‑weld and localized treatments. The position is based on‑site in Monfalcone, Italy, reporting to the Nuclear Manufacturing Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the furnace or localized heat‑treatment equipment and perform preliminary checks.
• Operate the furnace according to procedure, monitor heating and cooling cycles, and adjust temperature and time settings using instruments and temperature graphs.
• Detect any malfunctions of the furnace or equipment and promptly inform supervisors.
• Disconnect equipment, store components safely, and reposition parts manually or with hoists/cranes.

Required profile

• Professional diploma (technical secondary education).
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating heat‑treatment furnaces or similar equipment.
• Ability to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment and report to the Nuclear Manufacturing Manager.
