Integration and Start Up Engineer

About the role

Join Applied Materials as an Integration and Start Up Engineer in Treviso, Italy. You will be responsible for integrating complex semiconductor systems, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality standards through to final installation.

Key responsibilities

• Support full system integration, performing functional, operational and system-level testing, calibration and verification.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, optical and process‑related issues using schematics and technical documentation.
• Execute Customer Acceptance Tests, travel to customer sites for installation, start‑up and commissioning, and provide technical assistance.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and NPI teams to develop and test prototype, alpha and beta units.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, logbooks and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Required profile

• Solid technical work experience in system integration, testing and commissioning within a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work in cross‑functional international teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25% of the time) and adhere to health, safety and environmental standards.
