MCU Power Architect

About the role

Join NXP's new Catania team focused on high‑impact microcontrollers for AI at the Edge. You will define and architect DC‑DC systems for MCU products, ensuring performance meets system requirements before and after silicon.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with system architects and marketing to develop power solutions for MCU‑based products.
• Design innovative DC‑DC, buck, buck‑boost, boost and capacitive converter architectures and simulate them using tools such as MATLAB or Simplis.
• Perform block‑level analog design, oversee layout, and sign‑off on designs.
• Work with analog and digital designers to implement architectures and verify requirements pre‑ and post‑tape‑out.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.

Required profile

• Master's degree in electronic engineering.
• 10+ years of product development experience, including switch‑mode power supply design and architecture.

Required skills

• DC‑DC system design and architecture.
• Buck, buck‑boost, boost and capacitive converter design.
• Simulation using MATLAB, Simplis or equivalent.
• Block‑level analog design and layout oversight.
• Digital control implementation for power converters.
