About the role
The Purchasing Coordinator will report to the Global Sourcing Manager and lead a team of seven buyers and specialists. The role focuses on executing cost‑effective sourcing strategies, ensuring strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement across the procurement function.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a purchasing team, translating strategic goals into actionable objectives.
- Monitor performance against KPIs such as sustainability, total cost of ownership, delivery, quality and financial targets.
- Simplify supply chains, rationalise the supplier base and standardise components.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with global suppliers.
- Support IT system integration, cross‑functional process alignment and shift the team toward value‑added activities.
- Analyse product specifications to define sourcing strategies and align procurement with forecasts and new product development.
- Lead projects that improve profitability, quality and time‑to‑market.
Required profile
- Strong experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably in a similar leadership role.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerAutomate and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
