About the role
The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager will oversee the complete material flow for the Florence pharmaceutical sites (Sette Santi and Scandicci). Reporting to site leadership, the role ensures production planning, procurement, warehouse operations and logistics are aligned to meet on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) delivery while complying with GMP, GDP and HSE standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead site‑level Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and translate market demand into feasible Master Production Schedules for manufacturing and packaging.
- Conduct long‑term capacity and labor analysis, identify bottlenecks and propose strategic solutions.
- Supervise material requirement planning (MRP) for raw materials, APIs, excipients and packaging components to avoid stock‑outs.
- Manage all warehouse activities including goods receipt, storage, sampling coordination, production supply and finished‑goods shipping.
- Optimize inventory levels of raw materials, work‑in‑process and finished goods to maximize working‑capital turnover.
- Ensure strict GMP/GDP compliance, maintain SOPs, handle deviations, CAPAs and change controls, and support internal and external audits.
- Promote a “Safety First” culture, overseeing HSE compliance for handling hazardous and flammable materials.
- Lead, motivate and develop the supply chain and logistics team while managing the departmental budget.
Required profile
- Proven experience in supply chain, logistics or production planning within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of S&OP, MPS and MRP processes.
- Ability to analyse capacity, forecast demand and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP, GDP and HSE regulations.
- Leadership skills to manage cross‑functional teams and budgets.
