Tax Accountant (Automotive)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Accountant specialized in the automotive sector to join our finance team in Milan. The role involves ensuring compliance with Italian tax regulations and supporting the company's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file IVA, IRES, and IRAP declarations and pre‑payments, and manage import VAT deduction and withholding tax matters.
• Oversee the full cycle of Italian electronic invoices, including issuance, review, filing, and verification against business documents.
• Assist with accounts receivable verification, payment tracking, and inventory document checks, ensuring data accuracy.
• Coordinate with tax authorities and customs, support tax inspections, submit customs clearance data, and monitor changes in tax legislation.
• Organise financial, tax, and customs vouchers, support the Chief Accountant in statement preparation and audit assistance.
• Perform additional finance department tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; Italian accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of tax‑related experience within Italian enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of tax processes, electronic invoicing, inventory, and accounts receivable.
• At least 2 years of experience with SAP Enterprise or similar electronic accounting software.
• Fluent in both English and Italian.
