Technical & Mechanical Engineer

About the role

ANDRITZ Farina Presse is seeking a Technical & Mechanical Engineer to join its Mechanical Technical Office. The role focuses on the design, development and continuous improvement of presses and forging lines, working closely with design, production, service and project management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of components and functional groups for presses and forging lines, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations and customer requirements.
• Carry out structural analyses, calculations and sizing checks, and define materials, treatments and optimal construction solutions.
• Collaborate with production, assembly and purchasing departments to align design with manufacturing processes and procurement.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, including bills of materials, material lists, technical specifications and manuals.
• Support continuous improvement by proposing new solutions, technologies and participating in technical meetings and project reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in companies manufacturing presses, machine tools or complex industrial plants is preferred.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Team‑oriented attitude, reliability, punctuality and problem‑solving orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX, Creo or equivalent).
• Knowledge of EN, ISO standards and the Machinery Directive.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with AS400 management software (preferred).
• Ability to conduct structural analysis and sizing calculations.
