Technical Project Manager – Thermoplastics

About the role

The Technical Project Manager – Thermoplastics acts as the technical bridge between the commercial organisation, customers and internal laboratories (R&D, colour‑matching, industrialisation, quality control). You will translate customer needs into concrete studies, samples and product solutions while supporting the sales network and business development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and manage technical information to develop studies, samples and product solutions.
• Convert customer requirements into structured laboratory requests and define optimal technical solutions.
• Coordinate sampling activities, prepare shipments and follow up customer tests.
• Handle complaints in the thermoplastics sector, communicate with customers and produce 8D reports.
• Support new product development together with R&D, colour‑matching, business development and purchasing.
• Provide technical‑commercial assistance to customers, sales teams, agents and distributors, including technical visits and participation in trade fairs.
• Assist compliance activities and help define the technical‑commercial strategy.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastics materials, processing technologies and applications.
• Experience with colourimetry, formulation and production processes in the thermoplastics industry.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with customers, agents, distributors and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, structured and problem‑solving mindset, comfortable making decisions under pressure.
