Transport and Logistics Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Transport & Logistics Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Bologna. Reporting to the Transport & Logistics Manager, the role will manage daily logistics flows, stock control, and coordination with production sites and external operators, contributing to efficient transport, warehouse and supply processes.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate stock and manage inventory to meet customer compliance, monitor levels and keep databases up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with 3PL providers, ensuring timelines and proper operational handling.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, production sites and internal teams for delivery planning, priority management and issue resolution.
• Identify and support process‑optimization initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce supply‑chain costs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; logistics or supply‑chain qualifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, transport or logistics environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Organizational and priority‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, problem‑solving attitude with precision and results orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience with ERP or other inventory management systems.
