Account Executive – Funded Startups (Hunter) – Italy

About the role

As an Account Executive on Stripe’s Funded Startups team you will partner with Italy’s most innovative venture‑backed startups. You will guide founders on how Stripe’s financial‑infrastructure can accelerate growth, unlock new revenue streams and give them a competitive edge in their markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high‑potential startups through inbound leads and proactive outbound prospecting.
• Own the full sales cycle from initial engagement to closing, driving new business and product adoption.
• Develop territory and account plans that generate pipeline and sustain long‑term user value.
• Research, network and execute targeted outreach, cold‑calling and campaign activities to build a robust pipeline.
• Represent Stripe within the Italian startup ecosystem, engaging founders, investors and community events.
• Collaborate with Investment Partnerships, go‑to‑market teams, Solutions Architects and other internal partners to deliver a seamless experience.
• Gather user feedback and convey complex requirements to product and go‑to‑market teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling SaaS or financial‑technology solutions to venture‑backed companies.
• Strong understanding of startup business models, technical environments and growth challenges.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with founders, investors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, high‑velocity sales motion.

Required skills

• Experience with outbound prospecting, cold‑calling and pipeline generation.
• Ability to develop and execute territory/account plans.
• Familiarity with financial‑infrastructure products and SaaS sales processes.
