Freight Forwarding & Sales Specialist

About the role

Transimeksa is looking for a motivated Freight Forwarding & Sales Specialist to join its Italian Domestic Department in Turin. The role blends operational logistics, carrier management, and new client acquisition, allowing you to contribute to a growing, dynamic logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with road carriers and coordinate loads for domestic customers.
• Identify and develop new client relationships to expand the customer base.
• Source and negotiate carriers for dedicated fleet assignments and spot loads.
• Secure additional loads when gaps appear in carrier schedules.
• Monitor carrier performance, optimise transport costs, and ensure service quality.
• Maintain compliance with domestic and international road transport regulations.
• Keep accurate documentation of loads, contracts, and transport orders.
• Collaborate with operations, planning, and logistics teams to optimise workflow.
• Provide problem‑solving support for unexpected freight scheduling or carrier availability issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in road transport operations and freight forwarding.
• Experience in sales, client acquisition, or business development is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of domestic logistics processes, transport regulations, and carrier management.
• Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail‑oriented with a customer‑focused mindset.
