Function Specialist Application (FA) – Powertrain Calibration

About the role

Join Bosch’s Engineering team in Turin to support application, calibration, validation and performance optimisation of powertrain control functions in real‑world environments. You will work on the RB control unit, ensuring validated software subsets are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate powertrain control functions on the RB control unit and deliver validated software subsets.
• Develop and improve calibration activities, including training and applying AI models.
• Provide first‑line technical support for issues identified during field tests, test‑bench activities, vehicle testing and customer fleet operations.
• Act as technical interface between internal development teams, project stakeholders and customers.
• Perform diagnostic and validation activities and support OEM integration tasks.
• Analyse technical issues, define corrective actions and drive continuous improvement of calibration and application processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Good understanding of combustion engines and powertrain systems.
• Intermediate programming skills with a preference for Python.
• Motivation to learn continuously and improve processes.
• Proactive, organised and clear communicator, comfortable working on test benches and vehicles.
• Fluent English; Italian knowledge strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time for business purposes.

What we offer
