Optical Telecommunications Network Engineer Internship

About the role

Huawei Italy is offering a six‑month extra‑curricular internship for fresh graduates or students in technical fields. The role focuses on optical fiber transmission (WDM) technologies and provides hands‑on experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing telecom networks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and implement B2B delivery solutions for optical fiber (WDM) products.
• Install, configure, commission and integrate high‑performance telecommunications equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and fine‑tune network configurations to maximise stability and performance.
• Collaborate with customer‑facing teams to resolve technical issues and support project rollouts.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or current student in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Graduation date within 6‑12 months of the internship start.
• Fluency in Italian (written and spoken) and professional proficiency in English.
• Valid authorization to live and work in Italy.
