Senior Penetration Tester – Cybersecurity (Rome)

About the role

PwC Italy is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester to join its Ethical Hacking team in Rome. You will work on client‑facing projects that assess and improve the security posture of web applications, infrastructure, mobile apps, APIs and network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify security vulnerabilities across web applications, infrastructure, Wi‑Fi, mobile applications and APIs.
• Conduct penetration testing and red‑team engagements both externally and internally to simulate unauthorized access.
• Prepare technical and executive‑level reports with clear remediation recommendations.
• Support development teams in defining and verifying security requirements following a “Security by Design” approach.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and reporting standards.
• Participate in internal and network‑wide e‑learning sessions and capture‑the‑flag events.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in cybersecurity, preferably within a consulting environment.
• Proven track record delivering vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and red/purple‑team activities.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
