Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert (f/m/d)

About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert you will ensure regulatory compliance and product stewardship across KLK’s European operations, supporting the development and continuous improvement of regulatory systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve Regulatory Affairs and Product Stewardship systems.
• Monitor and assess regulatory developments related to chemicals, environmental protection, health and safety.
• Ensure compliance with product classification, labeling, packaging and registration requirements.
• Provide regulatory guidance to business functions and production sites across Europe.
• Act as point of contact for authorities, industry associations and internal stakeholders.
• Support REACH compliance activities and participate in REACH consortia and external industry working groups.
• Collaborate with international and cross‑functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in Regulatory Affairs within an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of European chemical regulations such as REACH and CLP.
• Excellent communication skills in Italian and English; additional languages (German, French, Dutch) are a plus.
• Proactive, structured and solution‑oriented working style with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a matrix organization across multiple locations.
• Valid work permit and right to work in Italy.
