Senior Somali Linguistic QA Tester (Remote)

About the role

Acclaro is looking for an experienced Senior Somali Linguistic QA Tester to join its remote linguistic community. You will apply your expertise in software localization and AI model evaluation to ensure Somali‑language products meet the highest linguistic and functional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive linguistic, stylistic, and functional testing on Somali‑localized software interfaces and AI‑generated content.
• Identify, log, and track linguistic errors, visual layout issues, and functional defects using standard issue‑tracking workflows.
• Enforce project glossaries, style guides, and brand‑specific localization standards.
• Validate cultural relevance and idiomatic accuracy for the Somali market.
• Collaborate with lead engineers and remote localization managers, providing clear feedback in English.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience in linguistic QA, software localization testing, proofreading, or professional translation (English → Somali).
• Native fluency in Somali with strong command of grammar, typography, and orthography.
• Professional‑level written English skills.
• Own a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M‑series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4 or newer).
