Backend Developer

About the role

Live Story is looking for a Backend Developer to join its fast‑growing engineering team. You will help build and maintain the services that power our no‑code digital experience platform, enabling brands to create and publish stories online with ease.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs (REST, GraphQL) that support the product.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, QA and DevOps to deliver features from concept to production.
• Ensure backend performance, reliability, security and scalability.
• Participate in architectural decisions around microservices, serverless and cloud‑native solutions.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and best‑practice sharing.
• Continuously improve the development and deployment pipeline.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js (or Go) and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and non‑relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with designing APIs, authentication/authorization and distributed systems.
• Product mindset and ability to iterate quickly.
• Strong communication skills in English; Italian is a plus.
