About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive enterprise growth within the global payments and fintech ecosystem. Based in Italy, you will work at the forefront of digital commerce innovation, identifying and closing strategic enterprise clients across key European markets.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure across European markets.
- Identify new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, industry events and referrals.
- Engage and influence C‑level and senior stakeholders with consultative sales approaches.
- Develop deep expertise in target industries such as e‑commerce, iGaming, travel, mobility and SaaS.
- Collaborate with Customer Account Managers and Solutions Engineers to design proposals and ensure smooth implementation handover.
- Maintain accurate CRM pipelines (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and provide reliable forecasting.
- Stay up‑to‑date on payments, fintech trends and regulatory developments.
Required profile
- Proven experience in enterprise business development or complex B2B sales environments.
- Strong track record of closing large enterprise deals with long sales cycles.
- Solid understanding of payment technologies and financial services ecosystems.
- Experience in startup or scale‑up environments, capable of building pipeline independently.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a strong plus.
- Highly self‑motivated, results‑driven and comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
