Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will design and implement data pipelines and platforms that turn large volumes of structured and unstructured data into actionable insights for mission‑critical projects such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms for diverse client missions.
• Guide a multi‑disciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and developers throughout the data lifecycle.
• Assess, design, build, and maintain data solutions that integrate disparate data sources.
• Create workflows for retrieving, parsing, and processing both structured and unstructured data.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience with programming and querying languages such as Python, R, Scala, or SQL.
• At least 2 years developing and maintaining data applications for reporting and analytics.
• Experience building workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative, cross‑functional teams.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and an active passport with at least six months validity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technology field.
