Deputy Chief Medical Officer – Clinical Development

About the role

Philogen is seeking a Deputy Chief Medical Officer to provide medical oversight and strategic leadership for its clinical development programmes. The role bridges R&D, regulatory affairs and clinical operations, ensuring that product candidates progress efficiently from pre‑clinical stages to market authorization.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of strategic plans for the company’s product portfolio.
• Assist in designing study protocols, medical reports, statistical analysis plans and regulatory documentation.
• Supervise pharmacovigilance activities and monitor patient safety to meet global regulatory standards.
• Interpret emerging study data to guide development strategies.
• Coordinate with regulatory, project management and clinical teams to engage health authorities and leading physicians.
• Represent Philogen in partner relationships and collaborations.
• Lead coordination between Medical and Biostatistics teams.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) – mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical development within a pharmaceutical company.
• Knowledge of biostatistics as applied to clinical trials.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
