Field Service Technician – 100% On‑Site (Transformers)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform on‑site service activities on high‑voltage transformers across Italy. You will work directly with customers, ensuring safe and quality installations, commissioning, maintenance and support while identifying new service opportunities for Hitachi Energy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning and routine maintenance of transformer equipment independently.
• Conduct oil treatment, accessories replacement and electrical cabling for new accessories and digital devices.
• Diagnose technical problems on‑site or remotely and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate subcontractors to fulfil the defined scope of work.
• Prepare and deliver all required documentation and reports for customer sign‑off.
• Track activities, report work completed promptly and follow up as needed.
• Apply safety and environmental procedures and report any unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Electrical Technical diploma.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing transformers.
• Strong problem‑solving, independence and flexibility.
• Willingness to travel 100 % across Italy.
