Finance Director

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Director to lead the Finance & Controlling function for ghd, a global leader in premium hair styling tools. The role will be based within our corporate finance team and will partner closely with senior management to drive financial performance and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the Finance & Controlling team in all daily activities.
• Prepare periodic budgets and forecasts, align with HQ processes and timelines.
• Finalize monthly P&L and balance‑sheet statements in accordance with GAAP and HQ deadlines.
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and manage the year‑end audit.
• Lead business, cost and financial controlling initiatives to generate insights, identify trends and support growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with corporate departments to ensure efficient data flow and shared targets.
• Support negotiation and management of contracts with key suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and company policies.
• Drive the development of finance strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance, Controlling or Administration within structured, international organisations.
• Background in consumer‑goods or related industries (B2B and B2C).
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong leadership, proactive mindset and results‑driven attitude.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or comparable ERP system).
• Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with SOX internal‑control compliance.
