Fund Accountant

About the role

Alter Domus is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. The role involves supporting the full accounting cycle for alternative investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, including accruals, pre‑paids and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate balance‑sheet and P&L variances, provide analysis and explanations.
• Support preparation of VAT, tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Participate in the annual audit and preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with external parties as needed.
• Contribute to process improvement, standardisation and implementation of best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or economics.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (preferred).
• Working towards ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification (preferred).
