Head of Italy – CEO

About the role

JD.com, a leading global eCommerce and supply‑chain technology company, is establishing a strategic presence in Italy. We are looking for a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead JD.com Italy, drive market entry, and build a world‑class operation that reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Italy market strategy aligned with JD.com’s global vision and growth objectives.
• Identify high‑value opportunities in retail, logistics, supply chain and partnerships, and lead competitive analysis and market positioning.
• Drive top‑line revenue growth through partnerships with brands, merchants, suppliers and retail ecosystems.
• Build and lead Italy business units, including eCommerce category management, operations and inventory, ensuring operational excellence.
• Set financial targets, budgets and forecasts, monitor P&L performance, and manage investment planning and risk mitigation.
• Recruit, mentor and lead a high‑performing leadership team while fostering a culture of customer‑first mindset, efficiency, integrity and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with Italian laws, regulations and corporate governance standards, managing data protection, employment law and trade compliance.
• Represent JD.com Italy in public affairs, stakeholder engagements and government relations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior executive leadership experience in eCommerce, retail, supply chain or related technology‑enabled sectors.
• Proven track record of leading P&L, scaling operations and delivering commercial growth in Italy or broader European markets.
• Strong understanding of the Italian digital commerce landscape, consumer trends and competitive dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead large, diverse, cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders, regulators and partners.
• Experience working within multinational organizations.
