About the role
We are looking for a proactive Key Account Manager to lead relationships with major retail partners in Milan. You will act as the primary liaison, driving growth, launching new products, and collaborating on sustainability and digital initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with retail organisations, positioning CHEP as a trusted partner.
- Identify and develop opportunities to improve supply‑chain performance, sustainability and operational efficiency.
- Create and execute joint business plans and account strategies tailored to each retailer.
- Monitor KPIs such as customer satisfaction, profitability, asset productivity and service levels, providing regular performance reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance, customer service) to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and guide field representatives to align with account goals.
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues, ensuring swift resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing process enhancements and innovative solutions.
Required profile
- 2‑5 years of experience in FMCG retail relationship management, customer service or supply‑chain logistics.
- Proven ability to work with financial measures and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven problem‑solving abilities.
- Self‑motivated, able to deliver results with limited supervision.
