Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts & Compliance

About the role

Haier Europe is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to support its ambitious growth across the region. The role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts while providing day‑to‑day legal advice on regulatory, consumer, and product compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial contracts and legal documents for business operations and corporate functions.
• Assist internal stakeholders in negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and mitigating legal risks.
• Provide legal counsel on commercial, consumer, contractual, regulatory, and product compliance issues.
• Manage pre‑litigation matters, disputes, and claims, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Support key business projects and cross‑functional initiatives across HQ, product lines, and regional markets.
• Collaborate with senior legal team members on strategic and complex legal issues.
• Contribute to the digital transformation of the Legal Team by improving processes, workflows, templates, and tools.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law from an Italian law school.
• 2‑3 years of experience as an in‑house counsel for internationally operating companies or in a law firm advising corporate clients on cross‑border matters.
• Strong background in contract law and commercial transactions.
• Qualified lawyer (preferred).
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Italian and English.
• Good interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
