Middle School Mathematics Teacher (Key Stage 3)

About the role

St. Louis School, an international school in Milan and member of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking a qualified Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join the Colonna Campus from August 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, challenging mathematics lessons to Key Stage 3 students and preparing them for progression into IGCSE pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons aligned with the British curriculum and the school’s standards.
• Develop students’ numerical fluency, reasoning and problem‑solving skills through differentiated instruction.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages logical and analytical thinking.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress to ensure high attainment.
• Prepare students effectively for transition to IGCSE mathematics.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, departmental development and best‑practice sharing.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and contribute to pastoral care.
• Engage positively with parents and the wider school community.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching mathematics at middle‑school level.
• Ability to work effectively in a multilingual, international environment.
• Enthusiasm for inspiring curiosity, resilience and high academic standards in students.
