NDE Engineer – Non‑Destructive Examination Engineer

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Non‑Destructive Examination (NDE) Engineer to join its Monfalcone, Italy facility. The engineer will develop technical procedures and detailed instructions for inspecting steel structural components using a range of NDE methods, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain technical procedures and work instructions for VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, PAUT and TOFD inspections.
• Participate in technical meetings and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve inspection‑related issues.
• Support NDE operators during inspection activities and provide on‑site guidance.
• Conduct indoctrination and training sessions for NDE operators on prepared procedures.
• Assess operator competencies and recommend additional training where gaps are identified.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum three years of study); Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in NDE within heavy‑manufacturing or pressure‑vessel environments; 5 years preferred.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1 level) required.
