PLC Controls Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

Bosch is seeking a PLC Controls Technician to join its Florence, KY manufacturing site on the 2nd shift (2 pm‑10 pm). You will design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC‑controlled equipment, ensuring reliable and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain PLC systems using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal.
• Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Modify PLC programs and interface communications with industrial devices.
• Diagnose and resolve vision‑system issues (Cognex, Keyence).
• Maintain servo‑drive systems, especially Rexroth and Siemens platforms.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to improve equipment performance.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
