Quality Control Inspector / Operator – Expert

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Industry & Energy Technology team as a Quality Control Inspector/Operator‑Expert. You will play a key part in ensuring product quality, safety and customer satisfaction across our energy‑technology manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Document and investigate non‑conformities at the point of occurrence and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with supplier quality engineers to drive continuous improvement with key suppliers.
• Support daily production activities through incoming, in‑process and final inspections.
• Inspect parts against drawings using measuring equipment and a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Achieve customer satisfaction during final inspection, focusing on product quality, ergonomics and safety.
• Ensure timely upload of packaging and contractor certifications and promote process‑improvement proposals.

Required profile

• Diploma in mechanical engineering or related technical field, or GED with 3‑5 years relevant experience.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or a quality function.
• Experience with rotating equipment or mechanical/electrical packaging.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation.
• Use of precision measuring equipment.
• Inspection of parts to engineering drawings.
• Documentation of non‑conformities and corrective actions.
