PLC Controls Technician – $4,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Robert Bosch is seeking a PLC Controls Technician to join its manufacturing team in Florence, KY. You will design, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC‑controlled equipment, ensuring high reliability and efficiency across production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and maintain PLC systems using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal in line with corporate standards.
• Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Modify PLC programs and manage communications with industrial devices.
• Diagnose and resolve vision system issues (Cognex, Keyence) and servo drive problems (Rexroth, Siemens).
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations to improve equipment performance.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Provide feedback to Controls Engineers on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
