About the role

We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead Mondi’s Container Board business in Italy. The role combines market ownership, customer portfolio management and growth initiatives in a competitive commodity environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Container Board business across the Italian market, driving volume growth and profitability.
  • Own a defined portfolio of customers, strengthen long‑term partnerships and increase market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand share‑of‑wallet with existing customers in the corrugated and converting segments.
  • Build trust‑based relationships at multiple levels and act as a reliable long‑term partner.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and pricing dynamics, contributing to pricing strategies and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, product management, finance and technical service to deliver tailored commercial solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and commercial insights for strategic planning and performance management.

Required profile

  • Proven B2B sales experience in paper, containerboard, corrugated or related commodity industries.
  • Strong understanding of commodity market dynamics, price volatility and margin management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, pricing discussions and profitability steering.
  • Commercially and financially astute with an analytical mindset.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast‑changing market conditions.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with willingness to travel as required.
