Teacher / Head of Science (Middle School)

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking an outstanding Science teacher to lead the Middle School Science programme at its Caviglia campus south of Milan. The role may evolve into a school‑wide Science coordinator position for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop Middle School Science teaching and learning for Years 7‑9.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons covering physics, biology and chemistry.
• Monitor student attainment through assessment and targeted intervention.
• Oversee laboratory operations, health and safety, and departmental resources.
• Maintain departmental policies, documentation and risk assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole‑school improvement initiatives.
• Promote Science through extracurricular activities, trips, competitions and events.
• Represent the department and school positively within the wider community.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Principal or Senior Deputy.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience delivering the English National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 Science.
• Willingness to be an active, positive and flexible member of a collaborative teaching team.
• Eligibility to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work permit).
• Potential to assume middle‑leadership responsibilities.
