About the role
Baker Hughes is seeking a Thermodyn Commercial Leader for New Units to head a global team of Commercial Managers. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, competitive techno‑commercial proposals for the ICL product line while partnering with sales, engineering and support functions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a global team of Commercial Managers to produce responsive, high‑quality proposals.
- Collaborate with the Global Sales Leader and Application Engineering Leader to shape commercial strategies that meet customer needs and business goals.
- Accelerate ICL growth by developing regional commercial strategies and supporting strategic negotiations.
- Guide deal review processes, ensuring technical and business risks are properly addressed.
- Develop talent through training programs, coaching, and long‑term retention strategies.
- Manage complex, long‑term sales cycles, pricing, and contract terms for high‑value clients and markets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering) from an accredited institution.
- Significant experience managing commercial operations or sales functions.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Proven problem‑analysis and resolution skills.
- Experience leading programs, projects, and teams.
- Ability to bring innovative, unbiased perspectives and challenge the status quo.
- Capability to coach and develop talent; prior people‑leadership experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial/legal contract terms and relevant proposal generation processes.
