Chief Operating Officer (COO) – B2B Rental Services

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join an established Italian B2B rental services group serving the food industry, large‑scale retail and Ho.Re.Ca. The COO will work directly with the owners and the CEO to drive operational excellence, support growth initiatives and strengthen the organisation’s managerial capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimise all core functions – Operations, Service, Logistics, Quality, Branches, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement and Human Resources.
• Lead a workforce of roughly 150 employees and a nationwide commercial network to achieve business, quality and efficiency targets.
• Monitor and improve processes, planning tools and performance‑management systems.
• Support organisational development projects and enhance internal managerial skills.
• Partner with ownership on strategic initiatives, including organic growth, acquisitions and integration activities.
• Maintain a strong field presence, interacting with employees, customers and operational teams.

Required profile

• Proven executive experience as a COO or senior operations leader in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi‑disciplinary teams and nationwide operations.
• Strong leadership, pragmatic decision‑making and hands‑on execution mindset.
• Experience with growth projects, acquisitions and organisational restructuring.
