Franchise Head – Immuno‑Oncology Marketing Director

About the role

MSD is seeking a senior leader to head one of its leading Immuno‑Oncology franchises in Italy. The role combines strategic marketing ownership with people management, driving commercial success for breakthrough cancer medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, communicate and execute the Oncology commercial strategy for the assigned franchise.
• Lead and develop a team of brand managers, providing coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate cross‑functional launch and brand plans, ensuring high‑quality integrated execution.
• Generate and apply actionable customer insights to shape marketing tactics.
• Assess risks and trade‑offs, creating contingency plans where needed.
• Lead forecasting of sales and costs in partnership with commercial operations and finance.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and represent Italy at regional, global and medical congresses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other master preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong Oncology exposure.
• Proven experience in marketing, including product launch execution.
• Experience managing direct reports and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales and market‑share targets.
• Business‑level fluency in English.
