Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads the finance function at our Rome headquarters, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial information. This role combines operational excellence with strong governance, acting as a trusted business partner to finance leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, intercompany, reconciliations, journal entries and period‑end close.
• Ensure accurate revenue, expense, accrual and provision recognition in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes to boost efficiency and data quality.
• Provide financial analysis, variance reporting and performance commentary to support executive decisions.
• Partner with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies; design and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar management role within an international group, preferably luxury retail.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
