Aircraft Component Mechanic – Wheels & Brakes

About the role

Baseline Aviation Services is looking for an Aircraft Component Mechanic specialized in wheel and brake overhaul. The role is based onsite in Italy and involves full‑cycle maintenance of aircraft wheel and brake assemblies, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory authorizations.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, blast, inspect and re‑assemble aircraft wheels, brakes and related sub‑structure components.
• Identify and rectify defects discovered during maintenance activities.
• Complete and sign off technical documents, work cards and inspection items in accordance with authorizations.
• Follow maintenance data precisely and record work in ERP systems (AMOS).
• Receive, prioritize and distribute work orders, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Determine necessary repairs and coordinate with qualified personnel.
• Maintain proper usage, storage and calibration of tools and special equipment.
• Support other production staff, departments and managers as needed while adhering to safety, environmental and fire‑protection regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient reading and writing skills in English; ability to work with maintenance data published in English.
• 6‑12 months of recent practical experience in aircraft component maintenance or equivalent experience in an approved maintenance organization.
