Android Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

Technogym is seeking a passionate Android Mobile Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications for its wellness ecosystem. You will create innovative apps that run on a wide range of Android devices, integrate them with back‑end services and embedded equipment, and help users improve their health and fitness lifestyles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications using modern architecture patterns.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Integrate external data sources and APIs to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Identify, fix bugs, and optimise application performance.
• Write unit tests to guarantee robustness, covering edge cases and usability.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration at all levels.

Required skills

• MSc or PhD in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Android architecture and clean software design principles.
• Contributions to GitHub projects or open‑source communities.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) experience.
• Proficiency with Dagger or other Dependency Injection frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, including coroutines (3+ years).
• Ability to invoke remote server calls (REST, SOAP).
• Experience with JSON serialization/deserialization.
