Assistant Chief Engineer – Luxury Hotel (Portofino)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer across our Splendido, Splendido Mare, and upcoming Villa Beatrice properties in Portofino. The role focuses on maintaining the smooth operation of all hotel facilities, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily operations and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Help implement preventive maintenance programmes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards.
• Support administrative practices of the engineering department.
• Contribute to sustainability projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in hospitality or tourism.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Basic project‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and engage stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
