Assistant Rooms Leader

About the role

The Assistant Rooms Leader supports the overall operation of the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, ensuring a seamless guest experience and efficient back‑of‑house processes. Reporting to senior management, this role balances guest satisfaction, staff leadership, and financial performance in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and issues.
• Oversee daily Front Office and Housekeeping activities, ensuring standards, procedures, and brand service culture are consistently applied.
• Implement safety protocols, emergency plans, and key‑control programs in compliance with OSHA/MSDS regulations.
• Monitor departmental budgets, review financial statements, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage staff scheduling using the Scheduling Tool, aligning labor resources with occupancy and service goals.
• Conduct HR functions such as staffing level assessments, performance feedback, and adherence to fair‑treatment policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or housekeeping, **or** a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive guest satisfaction, and meet financial targets.
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
